Amy established Doll's Eye Theatre in May 2015, and co-founded Doll’s Eye Trust in 2020. It was alongside her work interning as a prevention officer at Rape Crisis in South London in 2010 working on devising a Consent education pack and assisting attending focus groups with young people, that Amy turned her attention to gender equality and representation in theatre.

Other recent directing credits include Diary of a Teenage Girl at The Southwark Playhouse, One of Those at The Tristan Bates Theatre, Philip Ridley New Writing Premiers at The Old Red Lion and Assistant Director on Fault Lines at Hampstead Theatre.

As a playwright, Amy wrote Birth Right for Doll’s Eye in 2018 then in 2019, Amy was commissioned by The University of West London in association with the Criterion Theatre Trust, to write Hooves and Wings, an inaugural play for a cast of seven, performed by third year graduates. Prior to becoming a director and writer, Amy trained for three years at LAMDA, and worked as a professional actor, performing on radio and stage across the UK.

In 2023, Amy founded the Joy of Writing to support new writers with 1-1 writing coaching and online courses.
